Under The Radar shares The March Divide's Crayola-filled clip for "Funk That You're In"

I feel bad for Jared Putnam after watching this video, frankly. I know it's cute to have paint poured all over you, but I dunno, there's something going on here that borders on abuse. That said, yay, new video today from The March Divide over at Under The Radar.

"Funk That You're In" is from the new album 𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘲, out April 23 from Slow Start Records, and this very colorful clip was directed by Hector Gallardo (Subharmonic City).

Get out of “The Funk That You’re In” with a new single from The March Divide, out tomorrow (Friday, March 12) from Slow Start Records and streaming today via American Songwriter. The site writes that the song, from new album cinq (due April 23), features a “timeless melody” and displays an “effortless ability to craft organically catchy and uplifting music… almost as if Jared Putnam is scraping away all of the excess information of modern living and is speaking to a deeper, older and more genuine sense of comfort and joy.” I mean, what more do you people want from a song?!

The March Divide's live Radiohead cover premieres via Americana Highways

Jared from The March Divide is already arguing with me, but I feel like he nails the falsetto on his cover of "High and Dry" by Radiohead. This one, streaming now at Americana Highways, appears on his surprise live album ALIVE!, which will be out from Slow Start Records on Aug. 28th.

he managed to record this at a show in Athens, GA in January when live music was still an everyday reality.

Central Track has picked up the new The March Divide lyric video for "Secrets" from "Distractions, Vol. 5." Jared Putnam just relocated from San Antonio to Dallas and this is his first bit of local press. The March Divide covers Billy Idol for "Cover Me Turns 10" compilation

The March Divide previously premiered his "Manic Monday" cover with the most popular cover song website Cover Me, and today he is also a part of the Cover Me Turns 10 compilation that celebrates the site's ten-year anniversary, as well as the recent release of site editor Ray Padgett's new book on the subject, "Cover Me: The Stories Behind the Greatest Cover Songs of All Time." Jared Putnam is a songwriting force - both in quantity and quality. He started releasing records as The March Divide five years ago after breaking up his band The Conversation at the height of the emo explosion, and today, has teamed up with NoiseTrade to bring you an album-length singles collection pulled from the three albums and five EPs that Jared has released in that time. He also chatted about all of this with Noisetrade, Will Hodge. The collection, Five Years of The March Divide 2013-2017 will also be available on all streaming services as of Oct. 27th.
