Feel the dark vibes with God of Love's new video, premiering today via Spill

VIDEO PREMIERE

The video for "Take You Seriously" by God of Love has got some dark vibes. Thanks to Spill Magazine for the premiere! According to James Burnett, “I always imagine God Of Love arrives where he is going with purpose and intensity and this video represents not only that deliberate preparation but also the sort of insanity it takes to make music and to perform. So there is a sort of romantic madness involved…”

Let Elroy "set the mood" with his "sultry" new video, premiering today on Glide Mag

VIDEO PREMIERE

Elroy’s “Excite Me Much,” writes Glide Magazine, “is a quiet and meditative morsel of indie pop [on which] Elroy is accompanied by minimal instrumentation beyond a drum machine and orchestra synths.” Glide has the premiere of the “darkly infectious” tune’s video.

Get excited! Grand Phony Music releases Elroy’s eponymous debut on August 13.

Abbreviations go "deeper than most dream pop songs" in the clip for "Turn On You," available now via The Big Takeover

VIDEO PREMIERE

"Turn On You,”  the first single by Abbreviations, now has a video that similarly channels the laid-back feel of the song. Thanks out to Jen Dan at Big Takeover for scooping this up. She says, “The song is deeper than most dream pop songs will go, typically awash in too much gauzy sonics to be this lucid. The number radiates an understated power... all coming together to leave you wanting more." Indeed!

Out now on Red Zeppelin Records.

Stereo Embers premieres "Take You Seriously," the new single from God of Love and “one of the catchiest songs of the summer.”

PREMIERE

“Take You Seriously,” the new single from God of Love, is today’s Track of The Day at Stereo Embers as well as “one of the catchiest songs of the summer.” Link in bio.

Alex Green always manages to speak about my artists in a way that helps me understand them better. He calls this song “a delicious blend of swirling new wave and dreamy pop... backed by an infectious synth groove... [with] vocals summoning Wayne Hussey of The Mission UK and Sisters Of Mercy’s Andrew Eldritch. Filled with a dark and twitchy backbeat that builds to a fuzzy crescendo, 'Take You Seriously' rocks with an undeniably earnest swagger." Thanks for the coverage and the insight, friend!

Hear it everywhere this Friday via Red Zeppelin Records.

In his newest single, live now on Americana UK, Chris J. Norwood implores you to quit breaking his heart

SONG PREMIERE

Americana UK is live now with the premiere of Chris J. Norwood’s “I Need You (To Quit Breaking My Heart),” a duet with Carrie Norwood that has one of my fave song titles of the year.

The site praises the track’s “great lyrical hooks – who could resist listening on after hearing ‘I hope this letter finds you well but I need some time to myself… PS: here are my regrets’? Having reeled you in, the Dallas based singer-songwriter makes the stay more than worth the while.” Look for this one on the upcoming LP I Am Not Cool, out August 20 from State Fair Records.
