Dan Bern has launched a six-week celebration of the first-ever vinyl release of his 2001 masterpiece 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦, which is also the first Dan record to appear on vinyl ever!
Dan hits NYC tomorrow, Saturday January 20, at Mercury Lounge, and The Aquarian Weekly took some time to chat with Dan about this and the record behind the show.

But vocalist Dave Boone’s hollers and yelps make the path to and from that climactic chorus just as fun."

I love this observation from Rachel at Adobe and Teardrops about "Dancing In The Kitchen" by Chris J Norwood & The Knockdown Dragout.
The video is such a pure gem featuring Chris and his wife Carrie doing exactly what the song title states. To Rachel's point, though, there is an opposite side of that tenderness coin coming through. The upcoming album is rough and ready!
